Walls

I am sorry for my demeanor
If you found me to be rude
Just walls built over many years
I’m trying hard to lose.

I don’t open up to many
I’m not one to linger on blues
Much rather expending energy
On present and future moves.

If I am somehow dismissive
Or seem almost arrogant in my ways
May be likely my heart fears it wishes
To destroy the walls it built to save.

I am sorry for my demeanor
If you found me to be rude
Just walls built over many years
For you, I’m trying hard to lose.
