Life Is Fleeting

Life is fleeting
Don’t you ever forget
Tell someone how you feel
Don’t you ever regret.

They’ll be gone in a day
You’ll be gone in a day too
And the only thing you’ll ever regret
Is not saying what you wanted too.

Lay out how you feel
Live and you learn
Live for the day
It’s funny how the tables turn.

What you thought was meant
Might just not be meant for you
And what you thought was spent
Might just be coming through.

We don’t know what is
Can be hard to know what’s right
But live for the day
Keeping the future in your sight.

Knowing it’s just a ride
Can make you live your life with greed
But greed kills the things inside
That most of us really need.

While your heart is beating
Try treat it with respect
And know others lives are fleeting
So try your best not to neglect.

Try is all you can
Try is the best you can do
And the more you try
The more others might try for you.

For you can try your very best
Then life comes and hits you with different plans
And when you’re down in the very depths
Nothing lifts you like helping hands.

You can live like you’re in it on your own
But that’s a little myth
For it is the warmth of skin and bone
That makes bliss out of the gift.

Life is fleeting
Don’t you ever forget
Tell someone how you feel
Don’t you ever regret.
