I’m not going to lie
For a time I didn’t think I would.

Just for a little while
I’m giving up on love
Except my love of life
For that I’m giving blood.

Something has sparked a fire
There’s a new lease of life in me
I’m filled with a wild desire
I kept trapped but now it’s free.

It is a little selfish
It has only eyes for me
I’ve been a little selfless
Though I knew I had to be.

Now it’s time for living
With a little bit of greed
Not completely given up on giving
Just giving myself a little room to breathe.
