Alone I walk
Though alone is not how I feel
No time for idle talk
It’s time to bind my steel.

Alone I stand
For all about me seems unreal
Only I define this man
I am his substance, I am his zeal.

Labeled I might be
By those to me unknown
Those who’ve cradled me can see
How far I’ve come from my own home.

Labels they may apply
To hold me back, restrict my zones
Though these labels will all die
Upon my back, as I crack, their abstract brittle bones.

Wish I was with you
So far away 
Dealing with such heavy issues
Yet to me you won’t say.

I’m having a ball
Living a dream
You’re left carrying it all
Painting a whole different scene.

You never complain
Just silently plough through
All of life’s battles
Been too many for you.

You’re an inspiration
Know it or not
The softest of hearts
Too often a rock.

One of your battles
I know has been me
In youth created hassles
In battles maybe only I could see.

For your actions always speak louder

We got to pick ourselves up
Every time we fall down
Knock off the dust
We gathered on the ground.

Everybody falls
We all make mistakes
When our backs are against the walls
Only so much we can face.

Don’t always see things clearly
When there’s so much in our view
For when your back is against the wall
You seldom look at you.

Just try fighting everything off
To create a bit of freedom
Till you can find a gap
Create a little room to breathe in.

When we find our space
And embrace what’s gone on
It can take time to regain pace
In the direction we belong.

We got to pick ourselves up
Every time we fall
Keep our heads up
Keep moving from the wall.

Sometimes the past will drag you back
You must try move forward still
Give yourself a little slack
Maintain a solid will.

Keep a little hope
To go with our self faith
Luck might give us a little stroke
Relieve a little weight.

Never cease to dream
Never cease to hope
This is coming from a man
Who often had his heart broke.

I’ve had it broke by family
Broke by lovers and friends
Yet I always come back smiling
With an open heart again.

Life will cut you up
I’m afraid you can’t cut back
If you shut and close up
You create your own trap.

Give yourself to others
Especially if they create time for you
And throw off them covers
And see what life can do.

Never cease to dream

Even after times
Hope make you look a dope.

Keep the flame lit
Keep your hopes high
No matter how hard you get hit
Never let your hope die.

Keep believing
Keep smiling.

Always pick up on your flaws
Let them pick all they like
Live by your own laws.

In this big bright pearl

Keep a light on it girl.

Keep a light as a beacon of hope
So when you’re speaking you can speak for us both
Don’t let it weaken like a leaking boat
It’s something worth keeping is a beacon of hope.

Even just a bit
And if i see it
