Woman, I want to thank you
For easing my mind tonight
I’ve been dealing with a lot of stresses
Don’t always have me acting or thinking right.

Woman, I want to thank you
For easing me of cares
Your generosity and humour
Have caught me a little unawares.

I’ve been going solo
Pretty much my whole life
Sometimes that can leave your soul so low
But I sure ain’t feeling that tonight.

Your kind hearted nature
And your devilish child like eyes
Have done my soul such endless favours
Helping to refresh a tired mind.

Woman, I want to thank you
For breathing in me a little life
And giving a little easing to my load
If even just for one night.

Woman, I want to thank you
From the deepest reaches of my heart
For shining just that little bit of light
When it’s been seeming I’ve been seeing, just that little too much dark.
