Beneath The Shell

November 17, 2016 danielbreslinpoetry

Beneath the shell
There’s a beating hell
Where silence fells
The beating swell.

In each one of its beats
A memory weeps
Buried in deep
Not dead it just sleeps.

Concealed in its cave
Behind paths unpaved
A sleeping brave
Lies, lost in its ways.
