A deeper darker side
Feels no pride
And nor it should
It is a side
That chooses to hide
For the fear of being judged
In shadows it resides
Often forgotten
And unloved
Yet it survives sometimes to thrive
Leaving a guilty feeling of good
It’s a part with a selfish heart
Desiring pleasure indulgent to self
Though not so selfish in it’s part
To desire pleasure
Without others consent
Desire can turn to need
To feed a greed
Of carnal intent
Though this desire is rarely freed to be received
Beyond the realms in which it’s dreamt
Fantasies are rarely enacted beyond
The safety of our thoughts
As if to enact would be to subtract
The dream itself, would then be lost.
