Don’t Do What I’m Supposed To

November 17, 2016 danielbreslinpoetry

I know I’m one of the men
And I don’t do what I’m supposed to
I know you’re a gem
And one I want to get close to.

I clog up now and again
And I don’t even approach you
I know in your head, you’re thinking when
Will I take the lead, and make the most of you.
