Love Unfavoured

To love so immensely
That which you should not love
When to love silently so intensely
Does neither love good.

When happiness can only be seen
Through its demise in someone else
When for two hearts to unite in one dream
They must first only think of themselves.

When for all you believe to make sense
You must act completely senseless
Follow your heart at another’s expense
Then stand guilty completely defenseless.

When for all to come through you believe to be righteous
You must do, what won’t be believed to be right
Be judged by what you do, you can not fight this
But for you to do, you must start the fight.

If you are to be sincerely truthful
To all but one, you become a traitor
Only four eyes see something beautiful
You hope the wise may see it later.

You become an enemy to all but love
Yet all but love your enemy
You wish your enemy nothing but good
But in that they can see nothing friendly.

Have to change your whole world
Knowing the world won’t change for you
Prepare yourself for all that will be hurled
Knowing most will break right through.

Be fully aware of what you’re choosing
Fully prepared to take the blame
Feel no pride in what you’re doing
Yet refuse to side with shame.

Embrace forbidden love
And brace yourself to be forbidden
Face what you thought you never could
Then they will demand your face stay hidden.

Become a hero to your heart
Whilst a villain to your name
Hope loves offered accepted part
Brings more rewards, than it will pain.

For What Of Those

For what of those
That never find love
Search the most
Yet rarely do good.

For what of those
Who offer their hearts
To only come close
And be pulled apart.

For what of those
Who give everyone their own
But miss it by a nose
When they are only given stone.

For what of those
Who do good everyday
But are never chose
By love, to come their way.

What becomes of the rose
That is never picked
Was every hand that chose
A hand the rose pricked.

Was it so beautiful to behold
To pick it would be sick
Or did it stand so noble and bold
No one could keep their grip?

For I

For I, have made mistakes
Forsaken those I love
At times for my own breaks
Sometimes only for their own good.

For I, have been a fool
For an extended length of time
I seldom follow rules
And the only rules I know are mine.

For I, have been a burden
A burden on those I love
Of such love I am undeserving
Yet for me, there has always been a flood.

For I, have often been so selfish
With my one and only life
For inside me there is something devilish
That needs to feed on life’s delights.

And feed indeed it has
Indeed, I’ve often over indulged
Just one of my many faux pas
Committed in the name of love.

For I, have a love of life
Few more so than my own
I want to devour all in sight
Stripping the last morsel from life’s bone.

It has been essential in my growth of self
While at times detrimental to those I love
As I flagrantly disregard all else
In search of that ultimate buzz.

I strive and strive for highs
As I hide and hide from lows
For lows are so hideous on the eyes
And we’ve all, had enough of those.

Follow Your Heart

Follow your heart
With your head
Follow your heart
No truer words said.

Follow your heart
Or you’ll always regret
Not following your heart
Until your heart meets its death.

Follow your heart
Beat back the night
Follow your heart
For your heart is a light.

Follow your heart
And when wrong, you’ll be right
For it’s only our hearts
That can beat death in life.

Follow your heart
With open eyes
Follow your heart
Be one of the wise.

Follow your heart
Make each day lived a surprise
Follow, follow, your heart
Until the day that it dies.

First Kiss

I remember that first kiss
Through pursed lips
Pure bliss
Sure miss.

The taste of that time
Like fine wine
Pure devine
To my simple mind.

The spirit of that age
Now there’s a glass I’d raise
Distant precious days
In an instant a smell replays.

A scent unwittingly won
Barely descent into my lung
Has my mind sprung
On a picture my youth once hung.

Find Pleasure

What gives me such pleasure
Is a very simple thing
It’s just how I find people
So very interesting.

The things that make life worth it
Are seldom things at all
It’s the living not material
Keep me earthed on this ball.

Knowing nothing’s for owning
Makes the knowing, so interesting
And what makes a thing worth knowing
Is never knowing what it brings.

Life is for the living
With the living I come alive
Those who base themselves on things
Would turn this place into a dive.

I find my comfort in much
Find such pleasure in maybe just one
Every person knows they’re going
With no knowing of what’s to come.

So in people I find most pleasure
In how we spend and share our time
Who’s to know who’s life is better
I just know no better, way to spend mine.

Feel Free, Just Be, I Want

I want to lie back

Just close my eyes

And like a bird or a bat

Let my mind fly the skies.

I want to quit town

Let my pressures unfurl

I want to lie down

And just forget the world.

I want to be me

Completely uncontained

I want to be free

Feel calm in my brain.

I want to relax

Know inner peace

This world so much can tax

Make a peaceful soul a beast.

I want to know love

Of a higher kind

Want to cool my blood

Leave some my madness behind.

I want to know another

As I learn to grow myself

I want to know a lover

Who loves to grow their self.

I want to know life

I want to know sleep

I want to know life

I want to know peace.

I want to look at the stars

Forget the restraints we’ve made of time

Want to know what it is to live

Beyond the restraints, I’ve made my mind.
