Be careful when choosing your straw
Beware of the victors pot
He who draws shortest loses by law
Yet he who wins often loses the lot.

Uneasy thoughts, have put me at ease with myself
I feel more like a man for reaching out for help
The man in a constant jam has been left upon the shelf
I’ve freed the man I am by looking outside of the self.
My mind gets caught in constant battles
As It questions all I do
Gets angry at my bodies actions
When they are repetitive and rarely new.
Same old problems fluff the tackle
Nothing learned, a fool
Mind capsizing, it’s demoralising, realising
It can’t even count on you.
The more I keep it bottled up
The more it eats and haunts my dreams.
The more I deny and hide the problem
The more I die in silent screams.
Thinking I’m a man on my own I’ll solve them
When the time comes I’ll find the means.
Knowing the right time is now, afraid of the how
Scared of the water, in unknown streams.

I ain’t wasting one more minute
On those who only think of themselves
I’ve had it man I’m finished
Y’all be selfish somewhere else.
I ain’t your punch bags
And I sure ain’t your stepping stones
Y’all treat other people like that
Y’all going end up on your own.
How many chances can you have?
How many chances do you need?
Before you see you only hurt yourselves
With your own greed.
I ain’t wasting one more minute
On those who only think of themselves
Y’all spin it, how you want to spin it
But y’all go spin it, somewhere else.

Trust your dreams
Fear not your hopes
Conquer your fears
For fear is a hoax.
It steals your dreams
Enslaves your heart
And it’s a living death
That its breath imparts.

I’m torn between two of me
One’s torn between two of you
One of me just wants to be free
Other one cannot see or be without one of you.
You’re torn between two of you
One’s torn between two of me
One of me makes you so happy
The other one you see makes you want to flee
Half of you
Just wants to run
Our two halves
Make a half decent One.

Tonight as lovers dine
Eat their fill and head for home
Or others ease their mind
By getting drunk or getting stoned
Mayhem fills the streets
I hear noise as the boys fall home
Some singles leave discreet
For tonight they don’t leave alone.
So many different parts
As so many play the game.
Some would guard their hearts
Some just avoid the playing.
When it comes to me
I guess I’m caught between the two.
I am neither out nor in
My body is here, My minds with you.

She’s tipsy again that’s when she text her male friend
I’m her choice among the men have been since way back when
Didn’t end up well, slowly apart we fell
But when she’s tipsy you can tell, there’ll be a text or a bell.
