Man About Town

He’s trying to look hip
He’s trying to fit in
Trying to look like the shit
When the shits where he’s been.

Be a man about town
Look super suave
Impress all the girls around
Like he got em in his lámh.

But he ain’t got shit
Just dropping cash
Trying to look rich
Trying to be flash.

If I see right through
Best believe girls see too
So don’t be that fool
Nothing cool about cool.

Cool about heart
Cool about chance
Cool a man start
A love romance.

If you just getting drunk
Which chick to hit next
You ain’t super cool
You as obvious as it gets.

Do you what you do
If you want get around
But do it as you
Or you just a damn clown.

Don’t be what you’re not
Be what you are
Happy with what you got
Make anyone a star.

Say fake it till you make it
Maybe that’s true
But from over here brother
You look like a fool.

Dropping cash you don’t have
And when the cash get low
In come another
And away she go.

He trying to look hip
Trying to fit in
Trying to look like the shit
When the shits what he’s in.

Tonight I’m Going Out

Tonight I’m going out
I’m going to have myself a beer
I’m telling you right now
Going to be a party up in here.

I can’t tell you how it starts
But I sure tell you how it ends
Back at my fucking gaf
With my best fucking friends.

Put your good clothes on
Going to put ourselves about
Get the blood flowing
Tonight we’re going out.

I can’t tell you how it starts
But I sure tell you how it ends
Back at my fucking gaf
With my best fucking friends.

Self Made

We keep each other going
We lift each other high
No one does it on their own
No matter how hard they try.

Those who do, at times succeed
All by themselves, sit proudly pleased
Till all that’s gained, in gain brings loss
For the sake of self made, they’ve ran everyone off.

For it’s people we need, people we trust
By helping out them, more often help us
We are the people, we are the power
And self made delusion, kills it by the hour.

Value others
Or devalue yourself
And when you’ve lost your value
Who you think’s going to help?

Happy Birthday Michelle

Happy birthday today
We only get one
A day a child shares
With no one more than their mum.

If you celebrate it with her
As she celebrates you
Then on the day you were born
She was born again too.

Your life is your life
Live it as your own
Though remember a mother
Is a child’s very first home.

One day she’ll be gone
But today you’re both here
So for blood, flesh, and bone
Raise a glass to hold dear.

Celebrate birth
Celebrate life
Know what you’re both worth
From dark create light.

So happy birthday to you
One and only Michelle
And at dinner for two
Haven’t two done so well?

So raise glasses high
Smile through the tears
Knowing today’s a beautiful lie
You’re here to celebrate years.

So today what I’ll do
Is wish happy birthday to both
And know the love between two
Would give the darkest heart hope.

We have nothing to fear
But fear itself
And the love you share here
Is the greatest life help.

So cherish today
Like you may cherish no other
For in a way few words can ever say
One will never know love like a child from their mother.

So happy birthday to you
Michelle mothers belle
At dinner for two
Haven’t you two done so well?

Look in each others eyes
Letting no single word nuture
Raise glass high to skies
Recognize past, celebrate future.

Happy birthday today
We only get one
Where people try treat us in a way
Our mothers have always done.

When It Comes To Love

I done put
My heart on the line
Like, Maybe
One, Too many times.

But I lay it down
Anytime I feel like it again
For when it comes to love
I’m a man among men.

Now you might guard your heart
And you might think you’re strong
But for my part
I might think you’re wrong.

Now you might think I’m soft
As sometimes people do
But if you cross my loved ones
You might find that’s not true.

You can kick me when I’m down
I always get back up
When the world pushes me around
I make my own luck.

You can take your pot shots
I let em’ hop off my chest
And I come out the next day
Smiling with the best.

I got friends where people don’t
Cause I do things others won’t do
And if you’re in my heart
I do most anything for you.

When I hit the streets
The streets they give me love
Cause I treat other people
The way other people should.

If you’re in my heart
You might treat it with respect
For the kind of love I offer
You just might find hard to get.

I’m a man of pride
But sometimes sacrifice is good
For if you can’t sacrifice it for someone
You know that that’s not love.

I done put my heart
On the line
Like, Maybe
One, too many times.

And I lay it down
Anytime, I feel like it again
For when it comes to love
I’m a man among men.

Young Minds

Young minds arm yourselves
There are those would cause you harm
Young minds guard yourselves
Though I do not wish to cause alarm.

The world is full of treachery
Desire, lust, and greed
Things can change deceptively
From the reality you believe.

Some say perception is reality
But that’s not really true
Reality is actuality
Perception’s just a view.

To guard yourself from trickery
One must first be fooled
Becoming skilled in the art of trickery
As a fool you build your tools.

If your mind is sharp
Your eyes always peeled
Those perceived to do the fooling
In reality will be revealed.

You will see your enemy
You will see your friends
And when the enemy comes in friendly
The fool will not be fooled again.

Temptress In The Lady

Getting down to physical
Girl, you drive me crazy
Teasing me so easily
Revealing the temptress in the lady.

Revealing just enough
To totally engage me
Concealing just as much
To totally frustrate me.

My imagination running wild
As you subtly toy and play me
What else can I do but smile
And let you have your way with me.
