Words Can Be So Lonely

Words can be so lonely
Words can be so cold
When words are your only
Things to touch, things to hold.

This world can be so hard
As beautiful as it is
When the one you love is barred
And will always be one of his.

Words can offer such little comfort
Even when offered from the heart
When it’s not the words you want to comfort
It’s the purest of all hearts.

It’s so hard to do the right thing
When to your heart it’s just so wrong
When to do either is just so frightening
And to do either one must be so strong.

It’s an Irony this life
At the very best of times
I began to see your vision
As you began to draw your lines.

It’s hard to sit here lonely
When I could be loving you
And I hate to think if only
As it only turns me blue.

You’re a soul to cherish
And if it’s your wish you can walk away
But our love will never perish
It kills me everyday.

World Is What You Make It

The world is what you make it
Can cover you up from naked
Don’t ever feel intimidated
To feeling obligated and regulated.

What you see as the norm
Because you’ve seen it since you were born
Can be a closure like a dorm
Stopping you perform.

To open a mind
One must first be willing
To leave the old behind
For something more thrilling.

We are not blind
Always risk in the milling
But if you do you may find
A life more fulfilling.

Work In Progress

I am far from perfect
Work in progress if ever one
I believe the work would be worth it
Though it would surely never be done.

Far from desperate for love
Though love is everything I am
Won’t ever settle for less than I should
Though when I do I’ll better the man.

I am full of flaws
Make them obvious as can be
For one of my biggest flaws
Is I am always me.

Don’t like wasting time on small things
Have a distaste for most things fake
For I learned the value of real things
Not long after I learnt to tie my lace.

I am far from perfect
Work in progress if ever one
I believe the work would be worth it
Though it would surely never be done.

Words Of Beauty

Words of beauty words of grace
I feel a duty to yield with haste
Words you impart from the depth of your heart
Words so sharp they prep to start
Urge to start something so wrong
Served from the heart these words are so strong
So strong they shatter what matters in life
They long they natter mad hatters delight
In the night in the darkness most dreams are started
In the light discarded most dreams seem arduous
From free hearts now slaves mad hatters are made
When dreams held grave get caught in the shade.

Wonder At The Stars

I often wonder at the stars
As I wonder where you are
Be you near or are you far
I wish you nearer than you are.

Often gaze up through the haze
Of this wondrous starry maze
Ponder how you spend your days
As eyes wander their blended rays.

My eyes flick, among these sparkled dancers
Realise lies might fit more than sharper answers
My sides split, as if hit by lancers
As my eyes dip, from the skies romancers.

I think of what you’re doing
Try to think less of who you’re seeing
Wonder if you’re pursuing
Everything you were dreaming.

Everyone you pursue
I hope for you comes true
I romance the black sky
Though hope the skies blue for you.

Woman You’re Special

Woman you’re special
Incredible and sweet
On another level
Incredibly deep
I feel like a devil
Ineligible and cheap
Yet you lift this devil
To an incredible peak.

Your eyes pierce my soul
As they weed my demons
Forgive my lies, make me whole
Till I feel I’m dreaming.
I rise to another role
And you’re the one that gives me reason
Never ceasing to surprise, my heart is stole
Indebted, to the very one that done the thieving.

Wish I Gave You More

The greatest gift you can give is time
I wish I gave you more of mine
What you are is pure divine
What we were is lost in time.

What we had was something great
You gave so much; did I only take?
I wish I gave you as much, so much it can ache
Though we can only hope to learn, from our mistakes.

For I can’t change
What has been done
For now it’s lost,
Though for awhile all was won.

From the old,
Something new will always come
I hope to grasp it with both hands
Something I hope you’ve already done.
