You undress your body
As I undress your thoughts
Let me caress your body
And in each other we’ll get lost.
It is not enough to have your body
Woman, I want your mind
For you are not just anybody
You are my daily find.

Killing your love
Before it kills you
Is a chilling act for good
We are rarely willing to do.
What we love can destroy us
If we give it reign to do
As it plays and toys with us
Enjoying power drained from you.

Nowadays
We ration
Compassion
It’s all about fashion
And physical attraction
It ain’t what’s on the inside
It’s what’s on the out
If you’ve got that pretty face
No one cares what comes out your mouth
No one cares about your problems
We’ve got enough of our own
Just want that pretty face
To decorate the home
It’s all about
You see me?
On tv?
Really?
I look dreamy?
Want to be me?
That ain’t reality
Need some clarity
Buy some books
Stop giving crooks your charity
For looks, cheap hooks, vulgarity
Puppets for hilarity
Entertaining through superficiality
Weakening our mentality
It’s a Shakespearean tragedy
Echoed in every AD I see
What?
And miss our favourite soaps?
What would we do then?
We’d be sitting around like dopes
What happened to wit?
And creativity?
Go out and start living see
TV breeds negativity
It’s an advertisement delivery
Selling the chains of misery
In the guise of positivity
Buy this product and you can live like me
Feel like me
Be like me
You must be fucking kidding me?
Is this something that my kid will see?
And never know no differently?
You must be fucking shitting me.
I’m rubbishing
What magazines are publishing
Have everyone running around with lack of nourishment
Preventing them from flourishing
Starving themselves
In body and in mind
To look and live like someone else
A look and life they’ll never find
Cause they got inside their heads
In living rooms and beds
The safe place that we call home
Has an enemy that goes unknown
A shiny little box
Cuter than any fox
Whispering insecurities and fears
Into our children’s ears
Instead of teaching kids to grow
Media’s often teaching them they’re on show
Limiting what they know
TV is gospel that much we know
Reality TV is like 24hour news
They decide what’s real, in choosing what they use.
They’re used for dumbing down
And appear to have done the trick
As people would rather post their food
Or pictures of their pouting lips
Than develop real life views
On anything resembling real shit.
We ration on compassion
Cause they have us scared of it
For the way the world is acting
In globalised transactions
Some done through military action
A public with too much compassion
And enough knowledge to ration
Might just start fucking asking
What the fuck is happening?
Should we be taking action?
Take everything in passing
You can almost hear them laughing
Cause someone’s fucking cashing in
They’ve got us in distractions
But from our interaction
From just commentary action
On even an individuals post of passion
On humanities greatest ever connecting public platform
Where they might have their eyes and tracks on
But money ain’t yet got the map on
Creates an awareness, that might lead to action
By getting others asking
Is there something wrong with this?
Am I really fucking powerless?
Does my opinion not count for shit?
Or is this the way it always is?
Is there somehow we can fix the shit?
Or am I just a piece of shit?
Cause media’s beasts
Make us feast on it.
So get yourself some peace from it.
Read books, explore, release from it
Watch a film I mean the decent shit
They’re usually less advertised when releasing it
And that’s the fucking least of it.
Save your damn mind
Save your damned soul
Life is about how you spend your time
And our time is getting harder and harder to control.
They fill us with so much noise
We work so many hours in the day
People come home soul destroyed
Why would they then?
Send compassion
Anyone else’s way?

There’s another side of me
Comes out at night you see
Out on our own
We’re left to roam
Out comes the devil in me.

Stand tall, young sister
Though cruel this world has been
You never did fall, you’re no quitter
Never known the meaning of giving in.
You’ve been brave and oh so fearless
When fear dared to drown you out
I know so many who don’t get near this
I wish everyone knew what you’re about.
Stand Tall, Young Sister
Though cruel this world has been
You never did fall you’re no quitter
Keep raging against the machine.

I believe in something better
Though this pressure is getting the better of me
As I become a stereotype to the letter
Becoming the reason I’ll never be free
I’m beginning to see so clearly
All the things I must push from me
Some of these things I cling to dearly
Though strangely they are not dear to me
Life can be a puzzle
Sometimes nothing more puzzling than yourself
As you constantly stumble into trouble
Ignoring those who may offer help.
You see a picture so different
From those who love you see
So you refuse to listen
Forever slipping from who you could be
As I betray my innocence
Surrendering little parts of me
Through ignorance and insolence
Becoming the fool I never thought to see
It can be bewildering and chilling
How we act out the flaws we hate to see
When seen in others we dismiss them willingly
Never imagining those flaws reside in thee.

She got me
Don’t know how the hell she caught me
Might be something to do with the fact she’s naughty
Won’t even go in to the things she taught me
But there is something more
There’s something pure
i’m not so sure
But she seems to cure
Me from a lot of stresses
I love seeing her scrambling through the presses
Getting in and out of dresses
Looking for something to impress us
So much energy she applies
To looking easy on the eyes
So it comes as no surprise
She gets attention off a load of guys
But there is no tension no jealous eyes
Between us there’s no lies
I have eyes only for her
When she’s in a room other girls become a blur
She’s appreciated
And so i’m dedicated
To walking that line
Not breaking that bind
To great a trust
To break for lust
In a relationship that’s a must
Or that relationships heading for dust
And I don’t want this love to perish
Cause I’ve found a love to cherish
And as I want to keep her heart
Don’t want to be the one to spoil
Not going to be the reason we drift apart
So me i’m staying loyal.
Though sometimes it’s tough
It ain’t always rosie
We do hit the rough
Her loves enough to push
All thoughts of straying out my mind
All thoughts on staying this one’s a find
All though sometimes she gets a little jealous
That’s something I’ve grown to relish
Cause it lets me know she cares
And she’s not one to go and rare
And overbare
When everybody’s there
She just has her little signs
This love wasn’t built on brittle vines
And reassuring her always brings good times
So it’s fair to say I don’t really mind
And I’m not going to lie to her
In me jealousy does occur
When fellas be surrounding her
Tongues out hounding her
But we sound it out and drown it out
When we clown about
Tongue down her mouth
Playing between the sheets
I’m saying she’s for keeps
We been relaying that shit for weeks
No betraying we’re not cheats
I believe her she believes me
If I deceive her she’d leave me
No need to shake hands on this pact
We just plan on keeping it intact
So we just laugh and stand back
When others attract
We never react.
