She’s tipsy again that’s when she text her male friend
I’m her choice among the men have been since way back when
Didn’t end up well, slowly apart we fell
But when she’s tipsy you can tell, there’ll be a text or a bell.

It’s hard to believe you’re gone
Hard to believe you’re not out there
Just feels so fucking wrong
Life rarely ever gets more unfair.
We keep pushing on
Always remaining aware
When we gather at the table
There’s a massive empty chair.
But we don’t let you go
You’re always close in mind
Replay your slideshow
Shed a tear from time to time.
Never easy to watch
Still, I often do
Hoping to ease the pain of loss
Knowing it’s near impossible to.
So I play your slideshow
Shed a tear, even smile, sometimes
Hurts like hell most times I know
But keeps you alive at least in mind.
We are a band of brothers
And we’ll always remember
For your band of brothers
Abandons no member.
We keep pushing on
But you are always there
And when we gather at the table
Each member quietly seats your chair.

It’s funny how time changes
Once two lovers, now we are two distant strangers
Our dreams were once the same
Now it seems our dreams have changed.
How you been? a thought remains
I didn’t mean to cause you pain
Though what we mean, and what we do
Are often polar opposites, that’s nothing new.
It’s just strange being estranged from you
When we use to be together, in nearly everything we’d do
How peculiar it is, when those to whom we are closest
Are the ones we must dismiss when friendship seems quite hopeless.

Wasting time?
Not wasting mine
I’m racing time
Till the end of mine.
I know in the end time will beat me
But don’t want to be spending mine cheaply
Let me have a good time treat me
Be a friend of mine don’t cheat me.
I’ve a hunger in my belly
Can you feed me time tell me?
Time will you befriend me?
Before time, undoubtedly, makes you an enemy.

I love those old days
Of living it up
Hitting hard some days
Not giving a fuck.
Bunch of messers
Bunch of mad nuts
Those days were precious
Those days were us.
Getting up to madness
Getting up to mischief
There would be sadness
If those days were finished
They’ve calmed a little
No doubting that
But I love the times
We bring the madness back.
Responsibilities now
They can tie me down
Comes to the small session
Not always around
But give me a decent crew
A good excuse
And I’m ready and eager
To fecking let loose.
Bring the old us back
Let rip, a wild session
Laughter, drink , chat
And a shit load of messing
I loved those days
Living life with you
Those days slowly fade
Now and then we renew.
I love moving forward
Love having new goals to attack
Though when won, the best reward
For me, is always, to go a little back.

I get wary
This one scares me
Start acting contrary
Fear I’m away with the fairies.
I get nervous
Do myself a diservice
As I have to face the question
What if she’s messing?
I’ve to choose a direction
Would she just waste my time?
Would she do the same thing
If she knew the weights on my mind?
What if she’s not?
And I make the wrong call?
Unknowingly risking the lot
I’d never knowingly, ever risk at all.

There are times
When I am scared of what’s before me.
There are times
When I am scared to ask for help.
There are times
I find everything so boring.
There are times
When all that scares me is myself.
